Keep Generators Cool with Thermostat Protection

Overheating is known to cause a generator to fail. From simple maintenance, to debris build up around a stationary unit, to environmental conditions or a customer’s attempt at a DIY solution, ensure that your generators stay at an optimal temperature with Selco’s line of ½” disc thermostats.

Manual reset ½” disc thermostats open on temperature rise and must be manual reset to close the contacts and turn the power back on. These are rated for 125VAC at 15A and 250VAC at 10A for 6000 cycles.

The ceramic ½” disc thermostats can open on rise up to 500°F and automatically reset to control or regulate temperature as needed, or be used in “worst-case” conditions to protect other plastic components or critical processes from overheating. These are rated for 125VAC at 15A and 250VAC at 10A for 100,000 cycles.
All of Selco’s disc thermostats have different mounting bracket and terminal options to choose from. We also offer value added services such as adding lead wires and over-molding, to provide our OEM customers a turn-key design to incorporate into their products.

As versatile and important generators are for recreational use, power grid failures, and even global weather patterns, we want to help you sell all over the world! Proper heat protection will ensure your generator is performing at its best, improve your product’s longevity, while minimizing repair costs.
