Renco’s customer was evaluating Renco Electronics’ standard RL-3410 high-frequency current sensor for an application that would utilize four per board.
After some analysis, the customer realized the RL-3410 would be too large for his board and requested Renco provide a custom current sensor that would take up less board space.
Renco designed a sensor that was the same as the RL-3410, but it took up less space. This same adaptation technique had been previously used successfully for other customers.
From initial communication through the design and testing back-and-forth to production, the process took less than four months.
