Selco’s ECAP series is a lower-cost, precision sensing control!
Selco has recently added the ECAP to its already extensive line of custom Electronic Controls. Selco Products designed and developed the ECAP series electronic thermostats in response to an increased need for a more low cost, advanced control in many different industries. These controls are compact and similar in form, fit, function and price to conventional electro-mechanical bulb and capillary thermostats.
The ECAP series is compatible with Selco’s wide variety of sensors including NTC thermistors, thermocouples (type J, K) and RTDs. Having such a large range of sensors makes the ECAP suitable for a variety of applications within the sensing range of -40°F to 2012°F. These units also have a robust and reliable 30A relay to support heavy-duty loads. Two additional versions are offered – a dual relay version perfect for cold applications and an SSR output version for driving an external relay.
The electronic thermostat offers a high accuracy of temperature control due to close differentials and narrow tolerances which remain stable over time. These are SPST and also have the ability to get as precise as 1 degree accuracy (RTDs are 1°F and Thermocouples are 2°F). Because these are electronic, it can be programmed to open or close on rise.
For a small adder, the ECAP can include Bluetooth functionality. The eCap BLE app for Apple and Android is free to download and allows you to wirelessly adjust your ECAP’s function (open on rise or close on rise), temperature set point or differential from up to 30 feet away!
